Jesse is an educator, artist, and traveler with a background in transmedia storytelling and art video. Born at the intersections of fact and fiction, culture and nature, modern technology and traditional craft, Jesse’s work blends text, still, and moving images to create immersive narrative experiences. Children’s stories, for adults. Or perhaps they’re adult stories for children. You can find him and his partner somewhere on the road from Europe to Asia, living and working out of their motorbikes.
Madeline is a teacher and self-taught visual artist. Her illustrations consider the way children simultaneously examine and imagine, and take inspiration from observations of nature as well as the graphic and architectural traditions of the places she visits. Her current work involves recording and illustrating recipes collected on her travels along the Silk Road, which are meant to be enjoyed by both children and adults.
